Schaffarik-Board

Eccentrical and concentrical training of the leg muscles
When rotating the tibial longitudinal axis (see picture above,
one-sided left leg) the foot has to be fixed diagonally on
the Schaffarik-Board in order to position the knee joint in a correct
position for a workout. This is made possible by
the wide design of the Schaffarik-Board in the heel area.


Mobilization of the knee joint in flexion
By pulling the rubber band the user can increase the flexion
of his knee joint.


Mobilization of the knee joint in extension
By the weight of a blanket or the pressure of your own hands
the knee joint can be strengthened in extension.

Training the dorsal extensors

By pulling the rubber band the resistance can be regulated
for the leg lift muscles.


Training the plantar flexors
By pulling the rubber band the resistance can be regulated
for the calf muscles.


Training of the foot muscles
with diagonal arrangement of the carabiners
Pulling the inner rubber band activates the foot muscles.
The hindfoot must hold the board in place while the forefoot is
in place in pronation against the resistance of the rubber band.

Eccentric and concentric training of hip extensors
by pushing down the stump against the resistance of
the rubber band.
The Medboard is suitable for different prosthetic knee joints.


Eccentric and concentric training of the hip flexors
by bending and slowly stretching the stump against gravity.


Isometric training of the hip muscles
The user keeps his prosthesis stable with the stump in position
while he changes the tension of the elastics with his arms.


Training of the core muscles and hip rotators

 


Velcro closures and padding can be removed  if the base plate
needs to be disinfected.


Active trunk extension
of the right side along with a simultaneous increase of
the resistance caused by the elastic bands.
